Mt. Longonot on Sunday April 22: Meeting at ABC place at 6:30 to leave at 7:00 AM sharp. We are planning to do the peak and walk the entire rim which sound take 4 hours. For those that just want to do the peak, they can descend separately. Entry fee for citizens is 200 shs, 500 shs for residents and $20 for non-residents. If you can provide rides or need a ride please inform Bettie. Contact Bettie for more details. naekubettie@gmail.com
Open to both beginners and climbers with some level of experience. We can start climbing next to the picnic tree as usual and then try Nemesis in the afternoon if there is interest.
The club will provide equipment for placing of top ropes. Personal gear (harnesses, shoes, helmets and belay carabiners) will be available for rental at 300 Ksh. Climbers experienced in trad climbing are also encouraged to attend but will need to bring their own gear for placing protection, etc.
Those interested should bring lunch, water, sun screen and hat and small change.
We’re planning for an early start, 9am at Lukenya. More details on the venue and how to get there will be provided afterwards. Car pooling is always the preferred choice, so please indicate whether you can offer or need a ride.
Unless we get people with gear to join (meaning ropes and accessories to build anchors), we’ll need to limit the capacity of the meet to 10 people.

For those keen on running up and down trails and especially for those training for the Lewa marathon (see Lewa marathon – MCK team), we’ll do our best to organize monthly long runs in different venues around Nairobi or even further away.
The first meet is in Mount Longonot on April the 1st (sorry for the short notice!). We meet at the gate of the park at 8.30am, then run and hopefully by 11.30am we can head to the Nairobi clubhouse for a well deserved protein intake (BBQ), swimming, napping or even try to replicate the success of the last ultimate Frisbee match in the garden!
Car pooling is always the best option, so please let me know if you can offer or need rides.
Food will be taken care of (I’d appreciate someone volunteering to give me a hand on this) and we’ll then collect money on Sunday. The MCK bar will be open, providing soft drinks and tuskers.
Contact me at federicohinrichs@gmail.com BEFORE Friday March 30th if you’re coming.
Please provide me with your phone numbers given that there’s little time to organize.
