Esakut is a lovely hill just behind the Ngong Hills. A greak hike with good views down to Magadi.
Meet at 7am at Dormans coffee at Galleria Shopping center on Langata Road (at the junction of Langata and Magadi road)
Come with enough drinking water, lunch, money (small change) to pay for guide and other day hiking stuff.

2nd February – Leave Nairobi at around 1pm to be at Met Station by 5pm where we’ll camp for the night. One can either camp or stay at the bandas there.
3rd February – Hike up Teleki valley to MCK Rescue Hut or Two Tarns.
4th February – Hike around the peaks, camp somewhere
5th February – Hike down and drive back to Nairobi

Following up on the recent trips to the Aberdares, the first, from Shamata to Satima, the second, from Njabini to Mutubio, Alex and Jeff will do the missing link, from Mutubio to Shamata.
23rd afternoon – drive from Nairobi to camp at Mutubio
24th – hike from Mutubio to “middle of nowhere” campsite
25th – hike from “middle of nowhere” to Satima campsite
26th – hike from Satima to Shamata top camp
If we get enough interest + separate leader then we can help to setup a second group that can repeat the Shamata to Satima hike…
So let Jeff(j.mariner at cgiar dot org) + Alex(alextibwitta at alspride dot com) know if you are interested in the 3 day traverse or the 2 day out and back please.
