With an altitude of 2,351 meters, Mt Tiati is the highest point on the watershed between the Kerio and Suguta Valley
and a northerly extension of the Tugen Hills. It is located in an extremely remote and beautiful part of Northern Kenya
that few people ever get to see.
The trip will take 5 days – 1 day to get there, 1 day to climb a neighbouring peak called Skatkat, 2 days to climb Tiati
and 1 day back to Nairobi. We will hire donkeys in Kapunyany which will take water and camping equipment up to
our campsite on the mountain.
Final arrangements will be discussed on Tuesday, 15 January, at the MCK/Dive Club. If you are interested in this trip, please get in touch with Florian, info@mck.or.ke.
